Happy Tails!

BELLA - Thought I would send some photos of Bella.  We adopted her in August.

SHAGGY - You wouldn't know it from these pictures, but he is VERY active, and getting more and more at home every day! Here he is in the living room w/ Panda behind him, eating a bone, and then them resting in the kitchen. You can see a kitty resting in the background. The pets all get along swimmingly. He is a lovely, sweet boy and is doing quite well w/ housetraining (so far...), goes overnight in crate for 8 hrs.  It's only two days after taking these pictures, and I swear his fur is already longer! I'll send pictures of him w/ real fur someday!

Jake/Apollo was found as a tiny puppy in the road and covered in ticks and missing most of his hair. Chance Ed was dumped with his sister Hailey at someone's house several weeks ago. Hailey was adopted to a woman in Jackson and now her brother has a new baby brother and is living in upstate New York! Their adoptive Mom says:

"What a weekend! :o) I don't think I took this many pictures when we brought our last child home. the boys are doing great. Chance is now Zeus and Jake is Apollo. (by the way, there's got to be some beagle in that one. That's a beagle tail if I've ever seen one) (Our two cats are Thunder and Lightning so we kind of have a pattern going here) When we picked them up Saturday, they came off the trailer wagging their tail and licking any part of us they could reach. They peed, we let them wander a bit and then put them in the back seat of my car, where Apollo promptly pooped. lol we've been christened.

They are settling in really well, a little overwhelmed with all the kids and staying in the house, but they are not nearly as hyper as I thought they would be. They love to wrestle, and I only step in when they start to really growl. But a firm "boys that's enough" works just fine. They didn't eat much until last night. I wasn't worried about it though because they did eat, just not a lot. Then last night, I put their dinner down and they scarfed it up. The only problem is every time Apollo has a bone, Zeus takes it out of his mouth. We're working on breaking that habit. I was telling my husband, I don't know who I'm going to have more trouble training, the boys or the kids. I'm thinking it's the kids. they all try and help. Thankfully, they still have a couple of weeks of school left so they'll be gone during the day and I can get some basic training done with out distraction.

They go to the bathroom more outside than inside so we're happy there. We have crates for them which we leave open and they go in and out. I've been locking them in it every now and then during the day and then at night. It's so funny, a soon as the door is shut, they lay down and go to sleep. It's like flipping a switch. :-)

I'll attach a couple of pictures but they're blurry. Only because when they first got here I was taking pictures and Zeus licked the camera. So the lens has puppy slobber on it.

Thank you again so much. They are just adorable, and such good dogs. They will be well loved for the rest of their lives. Oh, and I got stairs for the pool and took the ladder out so they can get in and out by themselves. Now, if it would just warm up enough for us to go in the pool."

Chaos was part of a rescued litter that a volunteer took in a remote part of Carroll County. The mom was in horrible shape and trying to nurse 4 puppies. One pup was adopted to a home in Jackson but the remaining puppies Donny, Chaos, and Ruckus all went north back in January. Mom went north about a month ago. We heard from Chaos' adoptive mom who says, "I just wanted to send you some updated pictures of Chaos who's name now is Chantz! He is doing very well here at our home and I want to thank you. I'll attach some pictures of him." - Melissa Constanza
